Deep Dish Dungeon guides

Checked 2026-10-16. Steam build 25955406. Patch 1.0.47.0.

I lined the TechRaptor opening-hours guide (15–16 October 2026) up against the pinned developer post about getting stuck. The first gate is not a combat check. The in-game line is that the door is blocked until you have a full stomach. I would cook the starting apples and mushrooms, drink the spring, and only then look for a key.

How a run is organized

There is no map, compass, or fast travel. MeowDB’s dungeon notes, drawn from Dev Blog #8, say you navigate by landmarks and light. A sleeping bag sets your respawn. Save and Exit from the menu is the clean quit. Killing the process is how people lost packs before patch 1.0.47.0.

If you are wedged in geometry, the developer’s pinned note says to use Starve to Death in the pause menu. You return to the last save, drop respawning items, and keep key items.

Which guide to open

Use the walkthrough for the published opening through the sewers. Use the action pages when one verb is the whole problem: bars, roots, goo, or saving. Secrets and the ending are separate because they spoil the back half.

Questions

Where do I start if I am brand new?

Fill the food meter at the camp, open the first door, then climb to the hub. The beginner tips page lists the stick and torch loop.
