Demo prison key

Checked 2026-10-16. Steam build 25955406. Patch 1.0.47.0.

I split this from the full-game prison key because mixing them is how people walk to the furnace and find nothing. In the demo, the prison-key door is the ending. MeowDB’s demo-ending note, from a 2 July 2026 video, puts the thank-you screen after that door. The video does not show a build number, so I am not pinning v1013 versus an earlier demo.

Demo route, not the October release

Break the red bars with the hammer, the same weapon rule as the full game. The prison key then opens the stuck door into a small room and a thank-you screen. NPC Tips’ demo notes for build 23712006 describe that hammer step. Those notes predate some demo patches, and the full-game key now sits in a chest past the iron-key door.
