New demo changes

Checked 2026-10-16. Steam build 25955406. Patch 1.0.47.0.

I read the Steam news titles rather than a Reddit recap. The demo’s own changelog stops at v1013 on 15 June 2026. The 15 October full-game patch is a different app. I am not folding 1.0.47.0 into the demo.

The three public demo updates

v0254 is dated 4 March 2026 and v0271 is dated 30 March 2026. v1013 on 15 June 2026 is the one players mean by “new demo.” Steam’s post lists gamepad support, session reconnect, food that rots, a food basket, a grill that can burn food, new uses for bat and scorpion carcasses, and clearer combat feedback. Dev Blog #9 on 12 June 2026 is the Next Fest companion to that build.

Saving exists from that June update onward. The publisher FAQ still says those saves do not carry into the 13 October full release. No later demo patch was in the news feed I pulled on 16 October 2026.
